Yes, we are. Taylored Building Solutions and Darren hold the highest level of residential building licence in Australia. Additionally Darren holds a Commercial Builders Licence for Structural Fit Out.

A Building Company and Builder must be registered with the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) to perform any building works over $10,000 in Victoria.
Before you engage a builder, check the status of their registration at www.vba.vic.gov.au, on the ‘Find a Practitioner’ tab on the top right hand side of the VBA website, enter the building company’s name and/or the builder’s name to confirm registration status.
Taylored Building Solutions and Darren Taylor are both members of the Master Builders Association of Victoria and the Housing Industry Association (HIA). We actively participate in continuing professional development programs to ensure we are consistently up to date with industry changes and innovations.
There are some considerations before a price can be given.
These include:
- the size of the overall project
- design complexity
- choice of inclusions (basic range, standard/mid range or luxury)
- land / site challenges (slope, orientation, rock, underground services, accessibility, etc.)
After considering all of these factors a price guide can be given.
We are legally obliged to provide each contract with a Domestic Building Insurance Certificate (formerly known as Home Owners Warranty Insurance). This certificate is insurance on the building which provides structural protection for 6 years from the date a certificate of occupancy is issued.
Further there is a 90 day maintenance period whereby we come and fix any minor issues with the home once you move in.

While we understand the construction of your home is an exciting time we also understand you will want to see the progress of what is happening out on site.
Occupational Health & Safety laws do not allow for unpermitted access to the site so please make sure you contact us first and we can arrange a site meeting.
Yes, we are pedantic about quality and we’ve been working with the same trades for many years because we have established a great working relationship and can trust they will deliver to the standards we expect and feel you deserve.
We are team players and working with other trades to make sure your project is delivered on time and to the highest standard is no problem.
We require proof of the full amount to cover your building contract plus any applicable variations prior to building permit being issued. This can be provided by the following:
- Unconditional finance approval from the bank showing the amount of loan available to cover construction.
- Bank statement in your name(s) reflecting any or all portions of funds covered by yourselves.
